Sunday 2020 Farmer's Market Has Been Suspended

In this time of great uncertainty, we are sorry to report that Slow Food Lake Tahoe has decided to suspend the Truckee Community Farmers Market for the 2020 season. We have been grappling with how to make the farmers market a safe place to shop with new guidelines and recommendations from CDFA and the Nevada County Health Department. We have determined that the COVID-19 situation is too tenuous and our bandwidth as a tiny volunteer organization is too limited to add in the precautionary measures that would be necessary in order to make the market safe. We are sorry that this is the case, and we aim to bring it back in 2021 when this calamity is hopefully behind us.

Brought to you by Slow Food Lake Tahoe, the mission of the Truckee Community Farmers Market is to support local farms and producers within 125 miles of the Town of Truckee; and to promote access, education and appreciation for local, fresh, sustainably produced goods, while also creating a vibrant gathering place for our community.

Slow Food Lake Tahoe's mission is to connect our community to the enjoyment of good, clean and fair food by inspiring a self-reliant food culture. We educate the community about growing, preparing and accessing local and sustainable food. Good, clean and fair food for all.
