About The Event

Fall is the time to plant your garlic outdoors!  This event is for the purchase of garlic bulbs only, no garlic class will be held this season.  Previous garlic class recordings are available on our website where you can enjoy instruction from an expert who will cover planting, harvesting, pest management, river/lake friendly gardening techniques, biology discussions, and information on the history of this group of food crops.

You MUST pre-register for your garlic below.  The $10 variety set of garlic bulbs are available for pick-up in Truckee, Tahoe City, or South Lake on the Saturday morning.  Pay in advance to reserve your garlic AND help support the future of the Grow Your Own Program. You’ll receive 4 types of garlic specifically chosen for our high elevation climate and printed instructions.

Participants growing the garlic will be sent a brief end of season growing survey to help identify successful varieties…
