Slow Food Lake Tahoe meets regularly on the first Wednesday of every month at 4pm at either Moody's Bistro and Lounge or Dragonfly Restaurant. Email us by visitng the Contacting page to find out which one it will be!

September 21st .     Barn Dinner by Moody’s at Sierra Valley Farms ( (1329 A 23, Beckwourth, CA 96129) 
            Starts at 4pm – tour of the farm, followed by dinner.  Dinner will be a 4-course, family-style meal  of farm fresh food.  Live Music.
            SFLT Members $75, Non-Members (guests) $85.  This is BYOB.
Call Moody’s to make reservations, (530) 587-8688.
Volunteers needed – email jbossin@gmail to volunteer for this dinner.

Chef's Market Tour
June 18, Thursday, 12:30pm
Mark Estee, Executive Chef of Moody's Bistro & Baxters Bistro along with Gary Romano from Sierra Valley Farms will join together to take you through a "chef's tour of the market" during the Tahoe City Foothill Farmer's Market. The focus will be on how to successfully build a relationship between farmers and chefs/restaurants. Then, Steve Frisch, president of Sierra Business Council will talk about how food systems can help sustain local living economies, and share his experiences purchasing "value added" products for his former restaurant, The Passage. Cold drinks will be provided; no charge

Produce Play Garden, kids sculpt from fresh veggies and gourds; Placer Arts artist will create a sculpture from fresh produce and gourds.
