On Jan. 28, over 100 people attended Slow Food Lake Tahoe's first potluck of the year, held at Cedar House Sport Hotel in Truckee. The theme of the seasonal potluck was 'winter,' and participants were asked to bring a homemade dish featuring food that is in season. From lentils to lamb stew to mouth-watering duck, the food was amazing, as was the company.

Gary Romano of Sierra Valley Farms presented the documentary 'Passion for the Land'. To watch the video on YouTube, please click here.

Rick and Susan Reynolds of Sierra Pacific Roasting Company provided tasty samples of their locally-roasted coffee.

Chris Kerston of Chaffin Family Orchards was on hand with samples of his farm's goat meat, along with wares to buy: olive oil, pastured meat, jams, and oranges.

See what the Sierra Sun had to say about the event.
